Group | Hierarchy node just for structuring the scene hierarchy. It has no special properties or any effect on the rendering result. |
Use this node to organize large scene hierarchies within one Container Level. It allows you to easily create a branch or subtree without any overhead or added functionality. In the same way as every other node, the Group can be assigned a name by double-clicking on the node icon. It has no effect on the rendering and does not affect the performance if used a lot. Thus, it is a far better choice for organising the hierarchy than Axis (or any other) node.
For complex hierarchies, consider using the Hierarchy Container Node, which will allow you to keep the tree more modular and easily navigable.
