Technology: Projection Mapping, Video Wall |
The new show Vivaldianno is a magnificent combination of classical music, pop sounds and sophisticated stage projections. Based on the life story and musical opus of Antonio Vivaldi, the concert event features famous musicians from all over the world, dance and spoken word set before a large LED backdrop. Additionally, a transparent projection fabric is placed in front of the stage. With 3D graphics in front of and behind the artists and musicians, the entire stage becomes one immersive show where virtual content and artistic performance merge into one astounding experience.
The agency XLAB Realtime is responsible for media playback on both the LED wall and the projection fabric and has chosen Ventuz as their go-to software for this show. While many of the animations have been contributed by the Japanese artist Kosuke Sugimoto, XLAB Realtime has created additional content in Ventuz. As the entire show – including light, video and sound – is timecode synchronized, XLAB uses a custom made tool that directly links the Ventuz server to the GrandMa2 light console via ArtNet.
Vivaldianno celebrated its premiere on June 8th at the O2 Arena in Prague and has received praise from critics and audience alike. The show is now on tour across Europe with stops in Budapest, Riga, Tallinn, Ludwigsburg, Tel Aviv, Moscow and St. Petersburgh.
