After over a decade in which Chinese broadcaster CCTV has hosted the high-ranking talent show Avenue of Stars, the producers decided to give the 2016 edition a new twist. They hired the agency TVM to enhance the interactive voting experience for the audience in the studio as well as the users at home.
They are leveraging the power of Audio Watermarking Technology to allow users to vote by shaking their smartphone. The data from the studio and TV audience is then streamed into the Ventuz graphics server and translated into appealing graphics in real-time. These graphics then appear on the enormous backdrop in the studio and as on-air graphics.
Additionally, TVM-Hunter provided the show with an opportunity for the audience to send in messages which were displayed on the backdrop screen. Naturally, this turned out to be a big hype during the show, as thousands of people wanted to read their words and see their faces in the studio.
