COLOR MANAGEMENT TOOLS

Unlock your creative vision with improved color control and reproduction. We’ve made significant improvements to color management in Ventuz 8. Newly added support for Look Up Table (LUTs) for one- and three-dimensional LUTs let you manage entire scenes or individual elements and textures. Combined with increased creative options for HDR, and a new Color Mixer node, Ventuz 8 has been optimized to ensure that you get the most vibrant and accurate colors possible.

USABILITY & PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENTS

With Ventuz 8 we have added new tools and enhancements to improve usability and maximize your productivity. The new launcher and configuration editor, in-scene editing, visual guides, data portal nodes, and more, are sure to make your workflow smoother and more intuitive, so you can focus on creating.

ARTISTIC TOOLS AND ENHANCEMENTS
CONFIGURATION EDITOR

The best creative tools allow your ideas to shine through and new tools in Ventuz 8 puts your vision front and center. New tools and enhancements elevate your creative potential and streamline workflows like never before. A Cloner node that creates multiple instances of an object with modifiers on each one to create complex effects with you in complete control. The vastly improved Touch Paint Node has a new blending mode with improved intensity control and our Text Rendering engine has received some updates for improved performance. Apple ProRes is now fully supported in Ventuz allowing you to bring in videos up to 8K with 12 bit HDR giving your creativity even more power.

SCENE TRANSITIONS

Ventuz 8 introduces improved Scene Transitions in Designer and Director. A new type of scene with two layers for origin and destination, and a Transition animation. The Layer Mixer combines origin and destination scenes with effects like Mix, Dip, or Wipe, all with their own values to allow for customization of the animations. A new Transition Info node provides information about the current transition being used, progress of the transition and other related data to keep you fully informed.

“Ventuz 8 improves on virtually every element. But I am here for the great HDR implementation and the Cloner node.”

“The HDR editing is great, and the new Cloner is epic.”

FAQ

.NET has been an integral part of Ventuz since its inception. Being the backbone technology behind Ventuz it has a great impact on data connections, integration with external control protocols and, most important, custom scripts.

The adoption of .NET 8.x into Ventuz 8 enables the use of modern libraries and the integration of new devices and technologies that were unavailable with previous .NET versions.

The newly introduced support for HDR inputs and source materials means that you can now have a complete High Dynamic Range workflow, from input and processing to the final output.

In addition, the support for new color modes, together with the new advanced color converters and LUT support will give you more control over your color pipeline, ensuring that your project matches your vision.

Ventuz 8 development focused on increasing your productivity. Quality of life improvements such as the In-Scene Editing Gizmos, working visually in your renderer, or the new guides that allow you to work more accurately, all combine to make for a better workflow.

The new Data Portals greatly simplify your workflow when you must deal with many data connections and several hierarchy levels, layers or even scene ports.

The new Scene Control Window in Ventuz Designer also offers you a convenient way to test your animations and templates and control other nodes in your scene from a simple unified interface.

Ventuz 8 adds new tools to expand your creativity. The new Cloner Node that allows the creation of multiple instances of an object and applies small changes on each instance by using a set of modifiers and shapes to control how each instance will behave, great for modern motion graphics.

Touch Paint Node has undergone a major overhaul, with new blending mode, intensity control and Paint Undo and Redo methods. Text Rendering has also been greatly improved, with new technology to improve performance while maintaining the highest quality.

Yes, Ventuz 8 adds support for a whole list of new formats and enhancements to our existing and 3rd party libraries, to fit your production workflows.

The most important one is the support for Apple ProRes, a high-quality video codec format used in post-production, broadcast and proAV workflows. This has been long requested from our users and this addition shows our commitment to meeting our customers needs.

In addition, Ventuz 8 greatly improves streaming pipelines, including support for NDI 6 on all its versions and editions, and adding support for SRT Stream Out options. Ventuz 8 also includes a brand-new image library that brings new functionality and adds support for new more modern image formats, like Open EXR, HEIF and AVIF.

Ventuz 8 introduces a highly anticipated feature: custom transitions within the Template Engine. These new Ventuz 8 transitions are a special type of scene designed to blend seamlessly between different content, fully independent of the scene or template content. A set of standard preset transitions—such as cross-fades, wipes, and more—are included as part of the Template Engine and can be used across your scenes or projects in both Director and Designer. This feature is exclusive to the Template Engine, ensuring powerful, versatile transitions tailored for your workflow.

Yes, Ventuz 8 comes packed with improvements and features like the support for up to 32 audio channels, updated versions of the SVG and FFMPEG libraries, updated Chromium-based Web browser, and support for newer drivers and hardware models across all the integrated Video I/O solutions from AJA, Blackmagic Design and Deltacast.

Yes, Ventuz 8 marks the first public release which allows Ventuz in the cloud, specifically in AWS environments, offered as monthly and yearly subscriptions to run your Ventuz Runtime and Director licenses in the AWS cloud.

These new cloud Ventuz licenses can stream the graphics rendered in various formats, like NDI and/or SRT. Ventuz also supports graphics output using Amazon’s Cloud Digital Interface (CDI), a network protocol that allows transporting uncompressed video within the AWS cloud premises.

Any new customers who purchase a Ventuz license after the release date, including Ventuz Community, will have the possibility of downloading and running Ventuz 8.

Existing customers with a valid maintenance contract on September 1st 2024 will have the right to download, install and run Ventuz 8.0 along with any bug-fix releases.
