Scatter

Scatter This node gives objects a silky/velvety look.

The Scatter shader primarily can be used to produce velvet-like materials.


It does not use any textures to render the material. This shader works best with a Point or Spot Light because its result depends on the light position. Additionally,a Material node is required for the shader to work properly. The Scatter shader blends the diffuse color with the color of the Sheen property. The remaining three properties Backscatter, Edginess and Roughness control the illumination. To find a combination of these values that produce an interesting result can be a little bit tricky but worth trying.
