Color

Color This node sets the emissive object color. This results in a flat, light independent shading.

The Color node specifies the emissive color of an object and additionally the alpha value. The description of the Alpha properties can be found on the Alpha node page. The Color property specifies the emissive color and can be set in the Color Editor.

A Color node instead of a Material node is usually used if any form of lighting or shading is undesirable for an object. It creates a flat shading that is independent off the light sources used in a scene.
