Nissan uses interactive augmented reality installation to present new model to Russian audience.

For the introduction of the new Nissan Almera to the Russian audience, Nissan arranged a roadshow which ran from June until October of 2013 and stopped in seven cities, among them Moscow and St. Petersburg.

To demonstrate the features of the new Nissan Almera, the Russian agency Inty created an augmented reality touch interface in Ventuz. The application was installed on a 46” multitouch table in front of the car. Via a web cam live footage of the car itself was streamed into the presentation, which created the augmented reality character. By clicking on individual parts of the car, the visitors could find detailed information on novelties and technical features of the Almera. Additionally, the presentation content could be emailed to interested parties after filling out a small form on the touch table.

Inty chose Ventuz for this project, because it allowed to quickly combine live video footage and the interactive 3D real-time content. Furthermore, the presentation had to be adjusted to the new setup in each city, which was easily done in Ventuz.
