New Features, Integrations, and Quality of life Improvements
We are excited to announce that Ventuz 6.12 is out now and available for download on our website. We have been busy building on the optimizations and features we introduced in 6.11 just a few months ago. This work includes many new features and several great tech developments for advanced users.
With Ventuz 6.12, we also give you early access to our Vertex and Notch integrations, two very popular tools in our industry, each with their own strengths in different areas. For more detailed information on these fantastic integrations, please continue reading below. Another highlight in this release are the enhancements to our SDK. With the brand new Ventuz Extension API you can now develop your own plug-ins and nodes to boost your Ventuz workflow. New capabilities of our Video Input/Output API (VIO) allow video streams to now be sent and received from Ventuz.
Some of these features are in an early stage of development and will be extended with future versions of Ventuz but will already give you a huge number of new possibilities. Of course, we could have waited to reveal these exciting new features, but we are too eager to get them into the hands of our users and receive their feedback. This is us striving to have a more open dialogue with our most dedicated users and consider their feedback to ensure we continue developing in the right direction. Our goal is to create even better tools that our community loves to use. Now, please put these new features through their paces and let us know what you like, what you think is missing, and what we could do better.

VENTUZ 6.12 Feature Highlights
New String Array Analysis node
You can now easily access detailed information about a string array such as: array length, contents of shortest string, contents of longest string, shortest string length, longest string length, if the field is null, etc.
This makes it easier than ever to parse and gain information about string arrays used in your projects.
MULTI LINE TEXT EFFECT
The Alpha, Spark, Scale, and Rotate Text Effect nodes now support a Per-Line Dissolve Mode. This allows animating every line in a body of text simultaneously when revealing text using the Text Effects nodes.
This gives you even finer control over text reveals using
our built-in effects nodes.
Ventuz Director: All Out
New button added to Ventuz Director for “All Out” which performs a Take-Out for all items on the current channel.
This helps you more quickly and efficiently get your graphics off screen and gives you greater control of your show compared to previous versions.
Sine Function Added to Math Module
We have updated the Math Module in our Particle System to now include the Sine Function. You can now take advantage of the sine wave function to animate or manipulate your particles.
This gives you the ability to create particle effects with even more dynamic control than before.
We also have a few new key quality of life improvements worthy of highlighting. First off, Ventuz Designer no longer steals focus from other programs when you are using the autosave feature. The SystemID node can now display the Machine Tag as defined in the Configuration editor. We added the ability to paste from clipboard to the TextField input. We have even added an extra option to toggle between clockwise and counterclockwise for opening circle and cylinder primitives.
Additional Features

SDK Enhancements
Ventuz Extension API
We are thrilled to unveil the first stage of our Ventuz Extension API. This is the first time in Ventuz history where we are allowing our users to extend the capabilities of our software by providing them with the tools to create their own plug-ins and nodes. A dedicated GitHub Repository will give you an overview of the options this new API, including detailed information on how to use it and code example.
Please visit our GitHub repository to read the full documentation and options to communicate with our development team.

Ventuz VIO API
We have also enhanced the capabilities of our Video Input/Output API (VIO) to allow video streams to now be sent and received
from Ventuz, which enables an even wider range of integration possibilities.
VERTEX INTEGRATION
Ventuz enables designers, producers, and operators to rapidly develop, deploy, adjust, and edit content from the concept phase, up to and during production. We are thrilled to announce we now offer Ventuz realtime integration with Vertex to enable users to leverage these powerful features as part of a media server playback environment. This unlocks an entire new realm of possibility allowing Vertex users to now make changes in realtime during any live event.

DYNAMIC CONTENT
Update any aspect of your Ventuz scene on the fly from inside of Vertex. Using values exposed from your Ventuz scene, keyframes can be added to Vertex’s timeline as well as enabling Vertex’s scripting.
These keyframe values can include color information, text, integers, boolean, translation data, textures and videos – all in realtime by leveraging the Ventuz render engine.
Rapid Iteration
Immediately make changes to your content using our Ventuz integration.
Update spelling, change the look, or create new content without having to re-render and re-deploy pre-canned media assets.

Virtualization
Local Virtualization
Ventuz introduced support for local virtualization a few versions ago. Initially, only Ventuz Enterprise edition was enabled to be run on virtual machines, but this has been now expanded to all Ventuz editions, including Core and Community.
Ventuz requires direct access to the GPU hardware, so only Hypervisor Type 1 (Bare Metal) is supported. Ventuz software running on Hypervisor 1 are working on virtualization solutions such as Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware ESXi. In addition, Ventuz Enterprise editions now offer support for virtualized GPU technologies such as Nvidia GRID and AMD MxGPU. These features might require an additional licensing option in some cases.
Cloud-based Virtualization
Ventuz’ virtual dongle solution, initially introduced as a software license protection for more basic versions, has now been expanded to include support for the Ventuz Enterprise edition. This enables you to transfer Ventuz Enterprise licenses among various systems with an active internet connection. Please note that only one instance of the license can be used at a time.
Ventuz can now be operated on virtual machines running in the cloud. We have worked with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to implement these features, using EC2 G4 instances. Additionally, Ventuz now supports AWS Cloud Digital Interface (CDI), a video transport technology that allows transit of high-quality, uncompressed, latency-free video within the AWS Cloud.
Some of these features may require additional licenses or options. Please contact your Ventuz sales representative if you need more information about running Ventuz on AWS environments.
